For Play, Make, Create I worked with Heidi and the book was Up the creek the story was about friends learning to do teamwork.
Me and Heidi did the task make so we made a boat we never finished the boat tho.
What worked well for me was unfolding the box and refolding it back into shape.
Something I would change about the boat would be the front and I would add a lot more details to make it look like a boat.
For Maths mystery, I worked with Azahliah we got the wrong answer at the start because we got the first answer wrong but then we tried it again and we got it right. Then we worked out the shoe size, if the drink bottle was plastic or metal, their year group if they're male or female, and their athletic team color. !The culprit was Mollie!
This week for Play, Make, Create, I worked with Azahliah our theme was camp so me and Azahliah built a camp-ground. I quite enjoyed it. The things we have at the camp are a campfire with seating, a tent with 2 diarys and sleeping bags, an outhouse, a lake, and a river with a floatie.

This week we had Play, Make, Create. I worked by myself and I didn't get mine finished in time.
We got to choose a few tasks and I chose art.
The book it was based on was Giraffes can't dance.
Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I came 1st in freestyle 2 and 1 lengths I came either 2nd or 3rd in 2 and 1 length backstroke. This year was quite different because we were in level 2 so parents couldn't come.
We had two art sessions this week and I'm in Miss Mac's art group. We started out in our art books to sketch our animal eyes then we got a big piece of card paper and then we had to cut long triangles with different materials such as fabric, paper and etc.
This week we were put into our Literacy groups and I'm with Mrs. Heven and Mrs. Loft so far we've done summarising and predicting one of my predictions is very funny.
Part of our maths program is NumBots and I think I am really good at it because my aim this week was to get to the end of steel and I am near the end.
Week 4, Term 1, 2021
The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is doing Takaro because I played with people I wouldn’t usually play with.
We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Miss Mac. Our art is going to be Collage I chose collage because it had a bit of everything.
We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look extraordinary because I had photos of my family and we put a whakatoke on the other side of the star and I did some patterns around the quote as well.
Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling Confident and edgy at the same time. I'm feeling a bit nervous because I might end up coming second or third but I'm confident in myself because I never give

Someone who has helped me with my learning this year is Friends, Teachers.
The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is swimming, numbots, and rotations.
The most fun thing that I have done at a play or lunchtime this year is poison letter, tag and saving a butterfly. (It was really fun to help the butterfly)
One word that describes learning in Whetu is enjoyment.
Something I am looking forward to is Art!
